Old Kakheti 7-year brandy – tasting trio of 3 bottles

After harvest and fermentation, the grape must is distilled in copper stills to create a refined distillate, which then ages for seven years in barrels made from Georgian Iberica oak. This gives it a rich amber colour and a complex flavour with notes of dried fruit, vanilla and wood. On the palate you’ll find a smooth, velvety entry with mild sweetness, notes of honey and caramel developing into dried fruit, rounded off with light spice. The long, warm finish closes with traces of dark chocolate and subtle nutty nuances.

• 7 years of ageing in Iberica oak.
• 40% ABV, 0.5 l.
• Richer profile than the 3-year and 5-year variants.
• Rkatsiteli, Manavi Green and Tsolikouri grapes.

How to serve?

• Serve neat at 16–20°C, or with ice.
• Pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, hard and blue cheeses (parmesan, gorgonzola) and walnuts.
• Great with beef steak, smoked meats and game, as well as with a good cigar or strong coffee.
• Try Old Kakheti 10-year too, with even deeper notes of spice and cocoa.
