Imeret saffron (calendula)
Imeret saffron is a unique spice blend whose main ingredient is saffron, also known as velvetleaf or “kviteli kvavili” (yellow flower) or Zafrana in Georgia. This spice adds a beautiful colour and lustre to food and, thanks to its colouring properties, is also used as a natural colouring agent for cheese, drinks and oils. It has an earthy, strong flavour with subtle notes of green apple and orange.
Zafrana is ideal for flavouring meat dishes, fish, risottos and soups. It is very aromatic, so use it sparingly so as not to overshadow the flavour of the other ingredients.
Ingredients: Calendula.
Storage: Store at 0°C to +25°C.
