Askaneli Khvanchkara – 6-bottle case of the naturally semi-sweet wine of kings
Khvanchkara comes from the foothill region of Racha, where a cooler climate and short harvest season don’t allow the grapes to ferment all their sugar — the process stops naturally, leaving the wine gently sweet with no sugar added. This appellation is one of the oldest and most respected in all of Georgia.
- A blend of Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli, indigenous Racha varieties.
- Naturally arrested fermentation — sweetness with no added sugar.
- Protected Khvanchkara appellation, one of the oldest in Georgia.
Tasting profile
- Colour: bright ruby.
- Nose: cherry, violet, gentle spice.
- Palate: harmoniously sweet, soft tannins, fresh finish.
Serving recommendations
- Serve at 14–16 °C.
- Pairs beautifully with chocolate desserts, dried fruit or nut pastries.
