Khvanchkara comes from the foothill region of Racha, where a cooler climate and short harvest season don’t allow the grapes to ferment all their sugar — the process stops naturally, leaving the wine gently sweet with no sugar added. This appellation is one of the oldest and most respected in all of Georgia.
