Askaneli Saperavi Qvevri Author’s Collection – 6-bottle case of monumental red wine
Askaneli Saperavi Qvevri unites two legends of Georgian winemaking: Saperavi, the king of red grapes, and qvevri, the method that gave the world wine itself. After harvest the grapes are not pressed but go, skins and seeds included, into large clay amphorae, where spontaneous fermentation and subsequent ageing take place in the cool embrace of the earth.

Tasting profile
- Colour: dark, opaque, concentrated ruby with violet edges.
- Nose: ripe blackberry, dried plum, black cherry, leather, tobacco, earthiness.
- Palate: monumental, full-bodied, mature tannins, a long warm finish.
Serving recommendations
- Open at least an hour ahead, ideally decant.
- Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled lamb, game or very mature cheeses.
- For comparison, try the classic Askaneli Saperavi without the qvevri method.
