Drying plums has a long tradition in the Caucasus, and the resulting prune, unlike a fresh plum, retains a more intense, concentrated flavour with a pleasant tartness. Producer Grand Candy paired this traditional ingredient with modern confectionery technology: dried prunes are filled with almonds and fully coated in chocolate. The tartness of the prune beautifully balances the sweetness of the chocolate, while the almonds add a crunchy contrast.
