Fruit drying has a long tradition in the Caucasus and Armenia – warm summers and abundant peach harvests allowed fruit to be dried and its flavour preserved throughout the year. Producer Grand Candy paired this tradition with modern confectionery production: dried peaches are filled with almonds and fully coated in chocolate. The result is a sweet where three distinct textures meet – the softer, aromatic flesh of the peach, crunchy almonds and smooth chocolate.
Compared to apricots, peaches have a milder, less tart flavour, which makes them a natural match for creamier, milder chocolate and the nutty aroma of almonds.
