Combining dried fruit, nuts and chocolate is a typical Armenian confectionery tradition, perfected by producer Grand Candy. Thanks to their high natural sugar content, dates barely change when dried – they stay juicy and dense, making them ideal for filling with nuts and coating in chocolate. Pistachios, beloved throughout the Middle East and the Caucasus, add a sweet, faintly salty flavour and a striking green colour that sets this treat apart both visually and in taste from other variants.
