This wine matures in Qvevri—large, egg-shaped clay vessels buried deep in the earth—following a UNESCO-protected method used by Georgian winemakers for over 8,000 years. This ancient process grants the wine an exceptional purity and a subtle earthiness that simply cannot be replicated in modern stainless steel tanks. It allows the Saperavi grape to express its true, unpolished character.

• Appearance: A dense, ink-like purple hue, typical of the “Teinturier” (red-fleshed) Saperavi grape.

• Aroma: Deep and immersive. It reveals layers of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants, and dried plums, accented by a wild touch of mountain herbs and a whisper of woodsmoke.

• Palate: Bold yet remarkably balanced. The tannins are firm and structural, yet possess an elegant maturity. A vibrant acidity keeps the wine fresh, leading to a long, warming finish with notes of tart pomegranate and spice.
