Sarajishvili 5-year brandy – tasting trio of 3 bottles

The company was founded in 1887 by David Sarajishvili, and the brandy is still made here using traditional French technology – it is the oldest and most famous Georgian brand, with over 140 years of tradition. Sarajishvili 5* is distilled from four Georgian grape varieties – Tsitska, Tsolikauri, Saperavi and Mtsvane – grown in Kakheti, the heart of Georgian winemaking.

On the palate you’ll find roasted almonds, ripe fruit, raisins and dried plum with a delicate floral undertone; lightly sweet at first, gradually giving way to a drier, more structured flavour with a warm, long finish.

• Aged at least 5 years in oak barrels.

• 40% ABV, 0.5 l.

How to serve?

• Serve at 18–22°C in a brandy glass (tulip or Napoleon shape), optionally with a single ice cube.
• Pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, dried fruit or a cigar.
